Tragedy-Friend #15 - Unison Benevolent Fund

Tragedy-Friend #15:
Unison Benevolent Fund

Every month we dedicate some space in this note to celebrate peers and friends that we admire and respect. While normally a person, we thought it appropriate for April's Tragedy-Friend to be the Utterly Unbelievable Unison Benevolent Fund

(angels in a time where we could use a few)

Unison provides much-needed services to musicians in the best of times, and their role has become absolutely essential since this outbreak hit Canada. We've been thrilled to raise about $100 for them via downloads of Long Black Veil, and are happy to continue to donate proceeds from the track.
When an artist cannot work, or can't pay bills even though they are working (this is unfortunately far more common than it should be), or requires counselling and help with their mental health, Unison is there for them. Unison's requests for aid have shot up by 1900% in the past weeks, with an average of $200,000 being requested every week. It's well worth taking a look at their website, and donating a few dollars if you can spare them. These folks are providing valuable help to the musicians you love, and ensuring the health of our community
